The Heli Fuzz falls into the category of ‘sound choppers’. Its signal first passes through an Ultra Fuzz-style saturation stage, which gives it richness and character. This sound can then be rhythmically chopped, much like a tremolo, offering dynamic and cutting textures, ideal for shaping atmospheres or punchy riffs.

The Heli Fuzz offers a unique sonic experience, combining the richness of an Ultra Fuzz with a rhythmic chopping effect inspired by tremolo. Its signal can be dynamically sculpted to create punchy textures or effects reminiscent of reverse.
It features three main controls: Volume, Speed (Rotor) and Depth (Stator). A two-position mode selector (Push/Pull) allows you to set the direction of the chopping:
Push: a sharp, punchy chop, ideal for precise rhythms.
Pull: a softer chop reminiscent of a reverse effect, perfect for experimental textures.
The Heli Fuzz also features an external control input for the Rotor, which expands the possibilities:
Fixed-speed selector for precise tempos, ideal in the studio.
LABO★K EFFECTS External Remote control to adjust the speed without bending down (e.g. on a microphone stand).
Expression pedal (such as the Roland EV5-FV60) to control the speed in real time whilst playing your instrument.
